Yesterday I went along to a promo shoot I had been invited to by Norwich Fashion Week for their upcoming Vintage Show next year. The shoot was held at the 'OPEN' which is the venue for Norwich Fashion Week, a fantastic location! The day was a perfect opportunity to catch up with Kerry Curl who was the photographer for this shoot, also one of the directors at NFW who I had previously met this year. I was able to get a more behind the scenes view of things by watching the models, make up artists and the stylist in what they do in order to put a successful shoot together. I had the pleasure of meeting Karen James-Welton who was the stylist for this shoot, based in Norwich as a vintage fashion stylist, lifestyle consultant, blogger and events manager with one half of the vintage fashion online store 'The Stylist and the Collector'. With over 25 years experience in the industry and having worked with names like Vivienne Westwood it was incredibly interesting to speak with her and I look forward to working together next year. Having only just got back from Belgium, Amy Woodman was another lovely individual I got to meet who was modelling at the shoot. In-between getting her hair and makeup done I had the chance to chat to her about her career as a model. I recognised her from the London Fashion Week show held by Oxford Fashion Studios she had walked in this September. We spoke all about the industry, social media's evergrowing involvement in fashion and different things going on in Norwich city. I can't wait to see the final photos from this shoot and the finished publication in the NFW magazine which is to be released in Febuary. It was a very exciting day to be part of and I am so excited to announce that I will be working with NFW as a blogger in 2017!
