It's hard to believe the winter months are almost over and that fashion month is once again firmly upon all of us. London Fashion Week is without a doubt one of my favourite dates on the calendar and something I look forward to attending all year round. In a time of uncertainty in the wake of Brexit it was comforting and ressasuring to see UK and international designers unite together, along with some of the biggest names in the industry, on the runway to show that London is still very much open for business!

I arrived in London on the Friday (17th) filled with excitement to be back in my favourite city and to see what was on offer this season. That evening we were invited to the LDF Catwalk Show and Afterparty which was a perfect way to start LFW. Once we had settled into our hotel that afternoon, which was only a short walk from Liverpool Station, we began getting ready. I wore a grey checked blazer from Zara which I paired with a grey New Look roll neck.

Before making our way to the show we stopped off for cocktails at the Ivy Garden, my favourite restaurant. The venue for the show was at a hotel in Kensington inside a ballroom which I felt was a very fitting location for the evening that was about to unfold. Once we had arrived and received the all important glass of champagne, we reclined on the velvet sofas and waited for the show to begin. The show was divided into four parts by four very different designers that all produced diverse and unique collections which kept us all eager for more! Chantel Whites collection featured a variety of textures and fabrics which I loved and I thought this put a confident and bold statement on her pieces. Chic corsets and lace were a personal highlight for me from Nicol DeNoir Corsetiere's collection, I adored the contrast from elegant to edgy which pinpointed just what modern fashion is about.  From tailored blazers to couture dresses, there was something for everyone on this runway which was all accompanied by an electric atmosphere at the show from start to finish. Once the show had concluded the lights were dimmed and the music was turned up, it was time to network and party with fellow fashionistas, models and designers and to celebrate the opening night of LFW in style!
